New Manatee Blood Frenzy Track

The theme for 2HTS 255 was ‘Cosmic Owl’ so the Cap’n and I made something space-rocky. I’m going to see if I can include the track here as well as the downloads section so folks can comment on it. No promises that will work though.

That's the archive sorted

So there are now 22 albums (using the term loosely, one only has two tracks) available for your listening displeasure. The earliest NecroSadist material, from the 90s, was compiled into The Vault and Salvage. I culled a lot of tracks as the tapes were too badly degraded. Here was what the original NecroSadist catalog (with Renoroc on vocals) looked like and where a track or two wound up:

169 Branch Davidians Can’t Be Wrong (The Vault)

Live in Belford

Is it Rape if She’s Dead? (The Vault)

The Saga of Asher Arvad

Greatest Hits Volume 2 (The Vault)

The Outhouse Tapes (The Vault)

Good Doggy (Salvage)

Forgettable Little Ditties (Salvage)

Taste the Rainbow (Salvage)

I wasn’t able to save anything off of Live in Belford and I apparently don’t have a copy of our only concept album, “The Saga of Asher Arvad”. Who would have guessed that magnetic tape was a terrible medium for long-term storage?

Anyway, that’s as much of the old catalog compiled so now it’s off to accomplish new and exciting things. Like, maybe a live show?

More Albums

Alright so I’m just about done getting the old files up. There are a lot of songs that are not downloadable- but I sincerely doubt anyone wants to listen to them let alone own them for posterity. Some of the recordings I’ve pulled were off cassettes that were left in the bottom of a crate for literally (dictionary use of the word) decades. Others are just boring af. Really, excruciatingly boring. Some of the 11 Days or Amateur Night in Hoboken tracks I might make available for download if anyone wants them but for now they’re all collected in albums that you can stream. I’ll continue to put new material from TMBF, NecroSadist92, This Complete Breakfast &c. up for download and then compile into albums later.

I’ve reorganized the Photos section into Artwork and Photos, all of the album art is available there and includes links to go to the album page in case you prefer to judge books by their covers.

Moving forward, I’ve got two EJJB CDs to rip and then the Holiday Hits compilation to upload. Then, more in the way of liner notes and descriptions for songs where possible and memory serves. People might want lyrics and tab. People in hell want ice-water. But seriously, I’ve got that on my to-do list moving forward. I never thought I’d get around to putting up all the old crap but at least that’s nearly done.

Then I can go back to making music. Which was the whole reason I got myself into this mess.

(P.S. I turned comments on again. I don’t actually get any… not even someone working from home making a bazillion dollars using this one trick doctors hate.)

Albums!

I have included a few collections of songs into a new Albums section available from the header menu. Currently, 95% of them are two-hour tracks so I’ve included information about the specific compo and theme for that week in the song title. I can’t seem to find a way to add a download link so I suspect SquareSpace hasn’t enabled that feature yet. I’m also going to begin turning comments on so we can collect spam and death threats.
