We’re still recording downstairs so I left the mics down there and decided to try out a little more EDM. I am not good at EDM. The theme was ‘Empire Falls’. I wrote a “““song””” about Empire Carpet falling. sort of.

I had a bunch of microphones already set up in our rehearsal space so I decided to skip bringing them upstairs and setting them up again for 2HTS only to have to bring them all back down again. So I went all-in on EDM this week. The theme was ‘Flamingos’… I had wanted to make a J-pop style song based on a scene from the film Pink Flamingos but I wound up with this instead.

I just finished streaming the final part of the Mix with the Schlubs episodes where we dealt with an old track that the Cap’n and I worked on but never properly mixed or mastered. And to be fair, it still hasn’t been properly mixed or mastered. But it did get the Schlubs treatment. So, I’ve included the original rough mix, the remixed but unmastered version and the mastered version. Feel free to leave a comment if you think it got progressively worse, better or stayed truly awful.

I’m back doing 2HTS after a brief respite. I’m also back to my old antics lyrically. They gave us a theme of ‘tulips’ and i went with the ‘two lips’ pun.

After three straight days twitch streaming my in-progress atmospheric black metal project, Farnese and the Stallion, I decided to do a story-song for this week’s 2HTS. The theme they gave us was ‘The Fortune Teller’.
