And that means more Vocaloid. I guess. We had a theme of Handkerchief.
Yamaha added a new voice pack (and it was on sale!) named Fuiro and, despite misspelling it on the Vocaloid page, I used her with GUMI this week. We had a theme of ‘Diva’.
I was working for awhile on making an old 2HTS track a vocaloid so for the actual compo I decided to stick with two guitars, a bass, drums and my odd ball lyrical styling. The theme was ‘porcelain’ and it’s over in the Spice Punk section.
But that has almost nothing to do with this week’s post. I put a new track in garbage because i really wasn’t happy with it to the point that this week I went back to my roots just to remind myself I can crank out songs that are actually… musical. But then I stupidly decided to write the verse in 3/4 and the chorus in 4/4. We had a theme of Mole Men and even though the lyrics aren’t too over the top I still put it in Spicy Punk because I named the song ‘Mole Ested’.
In other news we are coming up on 500 2HTSs so I’ve started working on a Neocities site, but that’s still under construction as participants provide bios and I, with some 21st century robot help, expand the site’s capabilities.
But I decided to stick it in Vocaloid. The theme they gave us was ‘Chromosome’ and I just about ran out of time, in fact just barely uploaded in time before the listening party started. That doesn’t mean it’s not a roughshod mix, just that I got carried away with programming the Vocaloid section.
