Cutting it close thanks to Vocaloid

we had a theme of “monopoly” so I decided to try doing whacky things with vocaloid. No idea why it started to sound like Creep for a minute. /A A C# Dm/ really shouldn’t give that motion but i struggled trying to make it not sound like that to the point that it’s just weird now. It’s over in Vocaloid.

Early again

We got a theme of keyboard and I made a lil ditty about keyboard warriors that’s over in Punk.

I’m like, 20 minutes early again this week. I think I’ve started just going with earlier takes because I know that diminishing returns are in store if I don’t. I just knew that that third take on the drums, crappy though it was, would not have improved by the fourth take, and the fifth would sound worse and the sixth would be the one I ended up keeping even if it was inferior to everything but the first take. “but what about comping takes?” Yeah i would do that if it wasn’t going to make by CPU explode.

Back from a 2HTS vacation

I went on a vAcAtIoN to a beautiful tRoPiCaL pArAdIsE and then it was mothers day, so I missed a couple of weeks. I did perform Noodleman live at the former accompanied by drums, standup bass and trumpet. The trumpet was an especially nice replacement for my substandard guitar soloing. Other than that it was mostly a sun-blasted window into Hell.

This week we had a theme of Papercut. Now, I know Ye has pretty much got the high score for “writing offensive lyrics” but i still went with some Spicy Punk because i’ve forgotten half of my workflow or something. I’m adding this much text to the post because i was finished 30 minutes early, not even counting the 15 minute grace period. It doesn’t sound like any kinda good but i decided the takes were good enough a bit too soon and by the time i was mastering it was too late, really. I also tried to be experimental with the vocal processing. muddy af.
